George accepted the call as Lead Pastor of Grace in 2022. He was born and raised in Virginia
Beach and then attended James Madison University in the Shenandoah Valley where he met his
wife, Katie. In 1997, George graduated from JMU with a degree in Biology. He earned a Master
of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando in 2000, after which he had the
opportunity to serve as Director of Youth here at Grace for four years. He then served as an
Associate Pastor at Knox Presbyterian (PCA) in Michigan for three years and as the church
planter and Senior Pastor of Hope Presbyterian (PCA) in Smithfield, Virginia for fifteen years. In
2012, George joined the Air Force Reserve, serving as a chaplain at Seymour Johnson AFB in
North Carolina and Langley AFB in Virginia. He currently serves in the Kansas Air National
Guard at Forbes Field in Topeka. George and Katie have been married since 1996 and are
blessed with four children as well as a daughter-in-law and grandson.
